James Thomson

In August 2012, James released his debut self-titled album through independent Sydney label Laughing Outlaw Records. Label manager, Stuart Coupe, described James as one of the finest songwriters he’d heard in years; a reflection of James’ ability to blend the traditional elements of Folk, Blues and Country music into a modern sound.

In support of his debut album James toured the east coast of Australia and along the way performed with artists such as Simone Felice (The Felice Brothers) and Mark Olson (The Jayhawks, Creepdippers), as well as performing at a number of folk and blues festivals.

James’ debut album received nationwide airplay and a swathe of humbling reviews from various publications.

Recently home from three months travelling and performing through the Southern US states, James is nearing the final stages of completing his anticipated second album COLD MOON  Due May 2015
